  Talk about (phrasal verb)

  ●To mention or discuss; to consider or examine in speech or writing.(談論)

  Examples:  

  1.The author talks about the different aspects of this question.

  2.Let's not talk about it now.

  Abide by sth (phrasal verb)

  ●To follow a rule, decision, or instruction.(遵守)

  Examples:  

  1.Competitors must abide by the judge's decision.  

  2.They promised to abide by the rules of the contest.

  Better late than never (idiom)

  ●The delayed occurrence or achievement of something that one desires is better than it not happening at all.

   (晚來總比不來強;遲做總比不做好)

  Examples:

  1.After two weeks, I finally got a return phone call from that company. Better late than never, I guess.

  2.You were supposed to be here an hour ago, still better late than never, I suppose!

  Learn sth by rote (idiom)

  ●To learn something by repeating it many times rather than by understanding it.(死記硬背,熟讀)

  Examples:  

  1.Children still learn their times tables by rote.  

  2.She learned the equations by rote.

  Castles in the air (idiom)

  ●Dreams, hopes, or plans that are impossible, unrealistic, or have very little chance of succeeding.(空中樓閣,空中城堡,想入非非的計劃)

  Examples:

  1.You need sound financial advice and a strong plan if you're going to start your own business - don't just build castles in the air.  

  2.He keeps talking about how he'll move to Los Angeles to be a famous actor, but it's just castles in the air if you ask me.
