Promising (adj.)

●Full of promise; likely to succeed or to yield good results.(有希望的,有前途的)

Examples:  

1.Her school report described her as a very promising pupil.  

2.She is a highly promising young musician.

Be accustomed to (doing) sth (idiom)

●Be used to. (習慣於...)

Examples:  

1.I am not accustomed to having my word questioned.  

2.It's strange how quickly you become accustomed to the presence of others.

Lie in sth (phrasal verb)

●To exist or be found in something. (在於...)

Examples:  

1.Our continued success lies in our commitment to service.  

2.The film's interest lies in the questions it raises about future.  

At a loss (idiom)

●Not knowing what to do.(徬徨,不知所措)

Examples:  

1.I'm at a loss to explain what happened.  

2.He felt totally at a loss about how to proceed with the making of a dictionary.

Rest with sb/sth (phrasal verb)

●To depend on someone of something.

  (取決於...,在於...)

Examples:  

1.Our hopes rest with you.  

2.Responsibility for child care rests with social services.
