  Close quarters (phrase)

  ●A situation of being very or uncomfortably close to someone or something.

  Examples:  

  1.When you see famous people at close quarters, they always appear much smaller than you imagined them.

  Brief sb about/on sth (phrasal verb)

  ●To tell someone a summary with the essential details about something.(簡介,匯報)

  Examples:  

  1.We need to brief the president about the latest event.

  Judicious (adj.)

  ●Having or showing reason and good judgment in making decisions.(明智的,明斷的,慎重的)

  Examples:  

  1.A judicious parent encourages his children to make their own decisions.  

  2.We should make judicious use of the resources available to us.

  Draw on sth (phrasal verb)

  ●To use something that you have gradually gained or saved.(吸收,利用)

  Examples:  

  1.As an actor, you often draw on your own life experiences.  

  2.His novels draw heavily on his childhood.

  Track record (phrase)

  ●All of the past achievements or failures of a person or organization.(往績)

  Examples:  

  1.We like to recruit managers with a strong track record.  

  2.The school has an impressive track record of getting its students into good universities.
