●Every place or every time that something is possible.(在每一個可能的時機和場合,時時處處)

Examples:

1.Life holds exciting adventures at every turn.

2.Since the divorce she has avoided the press at every turn.

Hand sth down (phrasal verb)

●To make and pronounce an official decision, especially the verdict of a court.(正式宣布,宣判)

Examples:

1.Tougher sentences are being handed down these days.

2.The judge wasted no time in handing down a sentence of contempt of court.

(Be, become) fond of sb/sth (idiom)

●To like someone or something very much; to like doing something.(喜歡,愛好)

Examples:

1.My brother is fond of pointing out my mistakes.  2.She was very fond of horses.

Mess sth up (phrasal ver)

●To make something disorderly; to create disorder in something.(搞亂,弄亂)

Examples:

1.She worries that X-rays could mess up her laptop's hard drive.

2.You really messed this place up!

Pinnacle (noun)

●The highest or culminating point, as of success, power, fame, etc.(巔峰,極致)

Examples:

1.John Major has reached the pinnacle of British politics.

2.This film marked the pinnacle of her acting career.
