Some called them heroes, some called them martyrs. But I never saw heroes go back on their words, and martyrs cry on the guillotine. Much less, they were not sentenced to death, but to paying their debt.
I am talking about the nine key leaders who were found guilty over 2014 Occupy movement.
Reverend Chu Yiu-ming said he cried while hugging his grandchildren before the verdict, which drove Tai Yiu-ting to tears. I can』t help asking: why now? Don』t you know Hongkongers had been weeping for years? Don』t you know the impacted retailers, and the divided families, had been crying till now.
It is said that every injustice has its perpetrator and every debt its debtor. We finally found the debtors of Occupy movement. Here I call upon citizens who suffered losses in Occupy movement: It』s time they pay us back.
And it』s easy to redeem your losses. You just need to download a form from the website of Small Claims Tribunal, or go to the Small Claims Tribunal inside West Kowloon Law Courts Building in person, provide evidence of your loss because of the movement, so that you can lodge claims to the nine leaders to recover as much as $75,000. More importantly, this kind of Civil Claim requires no lawyer, so you don』t need to worry about the attorney fees.
Surely we all know that the damages done by the Occupy movement are way more larger, but as ordinary citizens, Civil Claim is all we can do.
United we stand. We should act right away, and let those who bring catastrophe to our society and next generation, have a taste of losing all.
Occupy movement, You play, you pay.
