上月底，筆者甚喜歡的一家素食店結束營業，主因是抵不住不斷上升的租金。其實，即使是五星級酒店，也要讓路予寫字樓。

　　月中讀報，得知中環一家酒店因入住人數下跌、寫字樓租金上升而估計要結業，該位置將改為商業發展用途（"Fuelled by soaring office rents and a downturn in tourists, Hotel LKF the latest hotel tipped to make way for commercial development."）

　　"make way for"於上文解為某事物讓路。

　　位於灣仔的一間醫院，最近拆卸了其具歷史價值的拱門，為的是要讓位置改成無障礙通道，有報章以"Hong Kong hospital tears down historic arch to make way for barrier-free access"為標題。

　　談及"make way for"，筆者想提提"make one's way"，可解作向前走或取得成功。筆者很留意人工智能的發展，近日閱報知道人工智能於泰國正不斷向前發展，融入商業活動以及人們的日常生活（"AI making its own way into both business and daily life in Thailand".）

　　不知香港在這方向的發展又如何？
