討論國際政治，離不開大國舉動。月中讀報看到一篇評論，提到美國優先的發展方向，令中國可以在聯合國的舞台上發光（China can shine on the UN stage, as Trump puts America first.）

　　"stage" 於上文作名詞用，指舞台，活動舞台。

　　有任何活動或者集會，有嘉賓上台發言，大家可用go/come up on stage（即上台）and address the audience。上月初， 有前港英政府高官表示支持一位人士參選特首，又被問及會否給該名人士站台（Former HK top official was asked if he would go on stage to underline his endorsement for the potential candidate.）

　　撰文之時，美國總統就非法移民再簽下了新的指令，近一千萬名無證人士有機會被驅逐出境。有關報道的網上版本用了 "Trump in final stages of plan to deport 11 million from the US" 為其中一個標題。

　　上周一個焦點是財政預算案，政府預留七億給教育局加強推廣職業專才教育等。預算案公布翌日有報道指該筆款項有部分會用於資助中學生參與職業訓練，但未有關於資助金額及學生數目的詳細資料等，皆因構思仍於初步階段（No details on the subsidy scheme yet as it is still at a preliminary stage.）
