Out of keeping (with sth) (idiom)

●Not in agreement with something; not suitable for a particular situation.(不符合…,與…不一致)

Examples:  

1.The modern furniture was out of keeping with the old house.  

2.Her remarks were quite out of keeping with the formality of the occasion.

No sooner said than done (idiom)

●Used to say that something happens immediately after something is said about it.

  (說幹就幹,馬上去做)

Examples:  

1.I told them we needed more copies. No sooner said than done.  

2.The service at the hotel was really remarkable. Everything we asked for was no sooner said than done.

Abide by sth (phrasal verb)

●To follow a rule, decision, or instruction.

  (遵守,服從)

Examples:  

1.If you join the club , you have to abide by its rules .  

2.Competitors must abide by the judge's decision.

Stew in one's own juice (idiom)

●To suffer the consequences of one's own actions.

  (自作自受,作繭自縛)

Examples:  

1.He's run into debt again, but this time we're leaving him to stew in his own juice.  

2.They are currently stewing in their own juices in prison.

Bring sth into play (idiom)

●To make something start to have an effect.

  (發揮,讓…起作用)

Examples:  

1.The exercise brings many skills into play.  

2.If they continue to deliver late, we'll have to bring the penalty charge into play.
