Bits and bobs/pieces (idiom)

●Small things of various kinds; belongings.(雜物)

Examples:  

1.She let me store a few bits and pieces in her apartment while I was abroad.  

2.The box contained needles and thread and various bits and bobs for sewing.

Force one's way somewhere (idiom)

●If you force your way through or into somewhere, you have to push or break things that are in your way in order to get there.(強行進入/通過)

Examples:  

1.The miners were armed with clubs as they forced their way through a police cordon.

2.He forced his way into a house shouting for help.

Scruple (noun)

●A moral principle or belief that makes you unwilling to do something that seems wrong.

  (顧忌,於心不安)

Examples:  

1.He is a man without scruple.  

2.Anyone with scruples about gambling should not work in a betting shop.

The ranks (noun)

●The people who belong to a particular organization or group.(隊伍,(一個團體的)成員組合)

Examples:  

1.There were splits in the party ranks on this issue.  

2.That summer I left school and joined the ranks of the unemployed.

Give (sb) the rough side of (one's) tongue (idiom)

●To give someone severe criticism and/or a stern reprimand.(嚴厲批評、譴責,出口不遜)

Examples:  

1. He's really going to give the boy the rough side of his tongue.  

2.I thought my project was fine, but my teacher gave me the rough side of her tongue after class!
