Colocation Arrangement (noun)

●「一地兩檢」。這是特區政府的官方英譯,本港英文媒體也有用joint checkpoints或joint checkpoint arrangement來表示「一地兩檢」。英國、法國及比利時等歐洲國家之間的邊境人流安排則通稱juxtaposed border controls,也是「一地兩檢」的意思。Juxtaposed來自拉丁文,意為「並列」或「並排」。

Carry out sth (phrasal verb)

●To do a particular piece of work, research etc; to fulfill.

(實行;執行)

Examples:  

1.An investigation is being carried out by the prison governor.  

2.The hospital is carrying out tests to find out what's wrong with her.

Back and forth (idiom)

●Moving from one place to another and back again.

(來往)

Examples:  

1.He traveled back and forth between Hong Kong and Shenzhen.  

2.We ran back and forth, carrying buckets of water.

The heart/crux of the matter (idiom)

●The focal, central, or most important element of a topic, problem, or issue.

  (事情的關鍵,問題的癥結之所在)

Examples:  

1.Over the course of this trial, the prosecution intends to get to the crux of the matter regarding this company's shady financial dealings.  

2.As usual, money was at the heart of the matter.

On the agenda (idiom)

●Planned to be discussed, engaged in, or acted upon.(在議事日程中,議程)

Examples:  

1.I don't mind touching on it briefly, but a big classroom debate on the matter is not on the agenda.  

2.She made it clear that bringing forward legislation to address climate change will be on the agenda for her time in office.
