  Rush (noun)

  ●A time when a lot of things are happening or a lot of people are trying to do or get something.

    (蜂擁而至,熱潮)

  Examples:  

  1.There's always a rush to get the best seats.  

  2.There's been a rush for tickets.

  Weigh sth up (phrasal verb)

  ●To think carefully about the advantages or disadvantages of a situation before making a decision.(權衡,掂量)

  Examples:  

  1.I'm weighing up my options before I decide to apply for the job.  

  2.Before buying weigh up the advantages and disadvantages of each type.

  On the verge of sth (idiom)

  ●Very near to doing or experiencing something.

    (接近於,瀕臨)

  Examples:  

  1.The two countries were on the verge of war.  

  2.He was on the verge of saying something but stopped and shook his head.

  Afforestation (noun)

  ●Planting trees to establish a forest or stand of trees in an area where there was no previous tree cover.(植樹造林,綠化)

  Examples:  

  1.The province's forest coverage rate is currently 19 per cent and there are 2 million hectares of land left for afforestation.  

  2.Since the 1960s, afforestation has changed the Welsh countryside.

  In bulk (idiom)

  ●In large quantities or amounts, rather than smaller, more convenient quantities or amounts.

  Examples:

  2.The ship was carrying wheat in bulk.
