  Spread the word (idiom)

  ●To tell many people some kind of information.(散布消息,揚言)

  Examples:  

  1.We need to start spreading the word that recycling is important.  

  2.We've arranged a meeting for next Thursday so if you see anyone do spread the word.

  Make an issue of sth (idiom)

  ●To argue about something or treat it as important when it is not, especially when this annoys other people.(小題大做,借題發揮,做文章)

  Examples:  

  1.It seemed silly to make an issue of it.  

  2.I knew they'd made a mistake, but I was too tired to make an issue of it.

  Can't help but do sth (idiom)

  ●To be unable to do anything else except; be compelled or obliged to.(忍不住,不禁)

  Examples:  

  1.You cannot help but like her.  

  2.As I look back over my career, I cannot but smile.

  Bolster up (phrasal verb)

  ●To supporter; to strengthen.(支持,撐腰)

  Examples:  

  1.His score will bolster his confidence for the next match.  

  2.We were all scared but she bolstered up our courage.

  Waver between (sth and sth else) (phrasal verb)

  ●To vacillate between choosing one thing and another.(游移於兩者之間)

  Examples:  

  1.We wavered between chocolate and vanilla.  

  2.She's wavering between buying a house in the city or moving away.
