  Straight from the shoulder (idiom)

  ●If you speak straight from the shoulder, you speak directly and honestly.(直截了當地,一針見血地)

  Examples:

  1.I gave it to him straight from the shoulder. "You're talking garbage," I said.  2.I'll tell you, straight from the shoulder, that you'll have to do better or they'll fire you.

  Scum (noun)

  ●A very bad or immoral person or group of people.(敗類,人渣)

  Examples:

  1.This quest takes him to underground clubs, and into contact with all kinds of scum.  2.People who organise dog fights are scum in my opinion!

  Rejoice (verb)

  ●To feel or show great joy or delight.(感到欣喜,歡樂)

  Examples:  

  1.Marriages are always occasions for rejoicing.  

  2.We spent the evening rejoicing at our victory.

  Room for manoeuvre (phrase)

  ●Freedom or space to plan or act strategically, or to vary one's tactics.(活動空間,迴旋餘地)

  Examples:

  1.The law in this area is very strict and doesn't allow us much room for manoeuvre.  2.The deal that was signed left us little room for manoeuvre.

  Follow out (phrasal verb)

  ●To carry something out to the end or to a conclusion.(貫徹,執行,照辦)

  Examples:

  1.The colonel expected the troops to follow out every order without question.  2.The boy followed out the instructions and made a fine model plane.
