問大家香港最急需解決的一個問題，筆者相信不少人會認為是房屋問題。今天香港的樓價已超越1997和2015年時的頂峰，但有分析師認為今天支持樓價暴升的基本條件是穩健的（" Property prices have surpassed the previous peaks in 1997 and 2015, but analysts say the fundamental conditions for this boom are sound."）。

　　"boom"作名詞解可指暴升，繁盛之時。筆者早前讀報，有評論員談及國家的經濟增長與整體穩定發展，當中提到一些指標，顯示國家的經濟在經過十多年的興盛發展，在過去五年開始放緩（" Various indicators show China's economy has slowed in the past five years after a dozen boom years."）。

　　若將"boom"作動詞用，可指激增。月初，有報道指由於出境遊數目激增，中國於未來十年需要增加3,200架飛機（"China needs 3,200 more aircraft in the next 10 years as outbound travel booms"）。
