•Keep house (idiom) -

to regularly do all the cleaning, cooking, etc. in a house.(做家務)

Examples:

1.His daughter keeps house for him.  

2.My grandmother kept house for nearly sixty years.

•Do away with sth (phrasal verb) -

To get rid of or put an end to something.(消除,廢除)

Examples:

1.Computerization has enabled us to do away with a lot of paperwork.  

2.A lot of the restrictions on imports have been done away with.

•Pass sth down (phrasal verb) -

To give something to a younger person especially within the same family.(傳給下一代)

Examples:

1. The tradition has been passed down from father to son for generations.

2.She will pass her diamond ring down to her niece.

•For all (the world) to see (idiom) -

In a way that is clearly visible.(有目共睹)

Examples:

1.China's rapid development in past decades is there for all the world to see.  

2.The relief that the audience felt when the performance finished was clear for all to see.  

•Be bound to (phrase) -

Be certain or destined to.(必定,勢必)

Examples:

1.There are bound to be changes when the new system is introduced.  

2.Don't lie to her. She's bound to find out.
