　　上星期在第一集K.O.詞貧分享了三個大家可以在平時生活當中學新詞彙的方法，今集再介紹三種學習技巧希望同學可以試試，同學也可以寫信給我分享自己學習的經歷。

　　（4）Create your own connection - 這就是課堂老師經常提及的Collocation 。把跟生字連在一起的有關單詞或短語一起學習，how the new vocabulary is regularly related to other words or phrases. 舉幾個簡單例子：

Finish / Complete work but not "get over" work

Meet / Greet friends but not "look" or "see" friends 

Live up to expectations but not "look forward to" expectations

　　學習collocation, 不但可以增長我們的詞庫，對整體句式及文法也有好處。

　　（5）另外，小時候的Miss Carol絕對是一個visual learners - 就是喜歡以繪圖的形式讓自己學習詞彙，把新學的生字形象化，當然這不一定可以應用在abstract nouns，也不是所有東西可以繪畫出來，有時候我也會用自創的符號讓自己可以記得某字的用法。

　　例如學習gloves - 手套也有很多種類： mitten, baseball mitt, leather gloves, rubber gloves。

　　把物件繪畫出來，印象便會更加深刻。「O」嘴 - pout，也可尋找相關的符號或圖片把文字記錄下來。

　　（6）學習時不要貪心，每日一字。每日學習一個生字，把它擴闊使用，其實把一個字貫徹的學習談何容易。要知道英文生字可以衍生很多不同的parts of speech，在不同context 的用法也有所不同。例如：簡單的一個字 - Date在不同的句法上有不同的理解，大家試試將中文意義（約會、椰棗、表明某人／某物的年齡；揭示某物的年代、日期）對號入座：

　　a) What is your  date  of birth?

　　b) My favorite fruit is red date.

　　c) Peter took Amy out on a date.

　　d) Not to date myself, but I remember listening to BBC radio programmes as a child.

　　And ... you know what? Good grammar is never out of date. 

　　I’ll just zip my lips for now.
