  Pilot (verb)

  ●To test a new idea, product, etc. on people to find out whether it will be successful.(試驗,試行)

  Examples:

  1.The new exams are currently being piloted in a number of areas.

  2.The scheme is being piloted by a few councils with a view to extending it nationwide.

  Back and forth (idiom)

  ●Moving first in one direction and then in the opposite one.(來回)

  Examples:

  1.We travel back and forth all the time between Canada and England.

  2.She swayed gently back and forth to the music.

  Bring in sth (phrasal verb)

  ●To introduce a new law or system.

  (引入,引進)

  Examples:

  1.She said the government would bring in the necessary legislation to deal with the problem.

  2.New safety regulations have been brought in.

  A false alarm (phrase)

  ●A warning of something, especially something unpleasant or dangerous, which does not in fact happen.

  (假警報,虛驚)

  Examples:

  1.They thought the packet contained a bomb but it was a false alarm.

  2.Three fire engines rushed to the school only to discover it was a false alarm.

  Stay in touch (with sb) (idiom)

  ●To maintain contact with another person, especially at intervals so as to remain up to date with each others activities.(保持聯繫)

  Examples:

  1.We have stayed in touch, often meeting for coffee.

  2.My old high school friends and I tried staying in touch after we graduated, but we all started drifting apart once college got underway.
