筆者早前讀到一篇專題介紹北角食店的文章，文中提到北角於1960年底是健力士世界紀錄大全中全球人口密度最高的地方（'By the end of 1960, North Point was listed as the most densely populated place on Earth by the "Guinness World Records".'）這實令筆者感到意外。

　　'Earth'，以大階寫'E'，所指的是地球。

　　今屆諾貝爾和平獎得主於挪威接受獎項前對朝鮮目前極度危險的狀態表示擔憂。雖然核武數量於冷戰後減少，但至今全球上仍有約一萬五千枚核彈，而且擁有這些核彈的國家有所增加（'Although the number of nuclear weapons has dropped since the end of the cold war, there are still around 15,000 atomic bombs on Earth with more nations getting them.'）

　　談及'earth'，筆者想提提 'unearth'（動詞）。香港早前有運動員等人公開自己曾受性侵的經歷，有報道以'#MeToo movement unearths heartbreaking reality of sexual assault in Hong Kong'做文章標題，揭示出令人心碎的現實。'unearth'作動詞用，指發現，發掘。

　　上月底，湖北省有農民發掘出一些還未爆的軍械，有報章以 'Farmer unearths unexploded ordnance in north China'為標題。
