筆者上周讀報得知一家公司將於九月於旺角推出旗下第二個共住(co-living)的項目,針對年輕一族。就着樓價高企,政府會推出新一輪旨在令樓市降溫的措施,有評論員對這扭曲市場需求的做法大表驚訝('It is astonishing to learn that the Hong Kong government will launch a new series of cooling measures to distort market demand for properties.')
"cooling measures"於上文解作降溫。其實,內地多個城市都進一步堵塞樓市降溫措施的漏洞,住屋銷售數字於上月再次錄得下跌。有報章以"China home sales fall again in May as cities close loopholes in cooling measures"為有關報道的標題。
談及"cooling",筆者想提提 "cooling-off period"。相信大家都聽過冷靜期,尤其是購買某些服務或產品的冷靜期("cooling-off period")。
去年,大家曾熱烈討論一些健身中心或美容院用不恰當方法脅迫顧客入會或購買套票等。還記得當時有民調結果表示大部分港人支持推行冷靜期,以保障健身中心或美容院顧客的利益("Most Hongkongers agree with the implentation of cooling-off periods to better protect beauty and fitness service customers.)大家且留意那些新降溫措施的成效,看看是否能cool off buying frenzy!
