想不到2022年第一期《繽fun英語》延期到5月。本應跟讀者拜年，如今應該是祝大家「夏日好運，霉氣全消」。

　　大家在1月份許下的新年願望或許現在正正過了第一季可以檢討一下。

　　過去很多時學生撰寫New Year Resolutions，也是寫下自己希望改善的地方、還有其他自身各方面可以做得更加好等等。

　　今年我跟學生說，要愛自己多一點。特別是過去的幾年，隨着時代的變遷，我們很多時候失去了方向，為追尋世上浮華、虛無飄渺的事情便忘記了愛護自己。當然，也有可能要去到Miss Carol這樣的年紀才體會一切只是過眼雲煙。

　　Shall we cultivate our long-forgotten self-love?

　　不只是一個New Year Resolution，是務必坐言起行。就這個題目，我們短短的網上討論中多位學生也提及自己在2022年來希望可以做到的事情。有一些也頗為有趣及勵志的，這裏跟讀者分享：

　　"I like to take care of my body by eating well, exercising and getting plenty of rest.　　I started to set a goal to compliment a person I meet each day; sometimes just simply say 'You look great.' Or 'I am happy that you are around.' The smile of the person I complimented just always go straight to my heart. It is a very good feeling."

　　"I constantly questioned my existence when I was in primary and secondary schools.　　Just this year I understand that life is just a journey, a journey of discovering ourselves through all the ups and downs. The journey of finding who we are.　　It is completely unnecessary to compare myself to others.　　And I am never going to be perfect. But I am already perfect, in my imperfection. I feel that taking care of myself is a beautiful thing, and my life is worth living."

　　"This year, I want to be nice to myself by being warm and understanding toward myself, particularly when I fail, feel inadequate, rather than punishing myself with harsh self-criticism."

　　"I wanted to remember the first school day in Primary One.　　Back then, teachers always say that each of us is a star, we can shine distinctively bright as long as we allow ourselves to be. It takes me over 20 years to understand that..."

　　希望讀者們今年也愛自己多一點，Love ourselves first and everything else falls into line. We can get everything done when we love ourselves.
