With more and more problems exposed with the construction of the MTR's Shantin to Central Link (SCL), the schedule for its opening to traffic keeps changing. But the MTR Corporate has given some hints in its tender notices recently uploaded. It said the automated fare collection (AFC) equipment maintenance service for the SCL's Tuen Ma Line is tentatively set to take effect in November, and that for the East Rail's cross-harbour section to take effect in January, 2022. This is meant the SCL may begin partial operation by end of this year the soonest. As for the scandal of many documents missing relating to the project SCL's Hung Hom Station expansion, the police have received a report by the Highways Department and sent officers to conduct an investigation at the site yesterday. No one has been arrested yet.
