Attend to sth/sb (phrasal verb)

  ●To deal with something or help someone.

  Examples:  

  1.We still have a number of other matters to attend to.  

  2.Please take a seat and I'll ask someone to attend to you.

  Give/lend (sb) a (helping) hand (idiom)

  ●To help someone.(幫助,伸出援手)

  Examples:  

  1.These tax cuts will give industry a helping hand.  

  2.Lend your mother a hand in the kitchen, will you?

  Make an issue (out) of sth (idiom)

  ●To argue about something or treat it as important when it is not, especially when this annoys other people.(小題大做,無事找事)

  Examples:  

  1.It seemed silly to make an issue of such a trivial matter.  

  2.There's nothing wrong with your hair, so stop making an issue out of it.

  Drag in (phrasal verb)

  ●To start talking about something that is not connected with what you are discussing and that other people do not want to talk about.

  ((討論時)離題拉扯)

  Examples:  

  1.He seemed determined to drag in irrelevant details about my personal life.  

  2.We were able to stick to the main issue without incidental grievances being dragged in.

  Sling/throw mud (at sb) (idiom)

  ●To publicly say false or bad things about someone in order to harm that person's reputation.

  (污衊,抹黑)

  Examples:  

  1.The paper became famous for throwing mud at movie stars.  

  2.The candidates started slinging mud (at each other) early in the campaign.
